The AMA's communications work spanned a wide range — data-driven reports, advocacy publications, educational toolkits and annual reports. Some projects required building a visual system from scratch. Others demanded strict adherence to established brand standards across complex, multi-section documents. In every case the design work was mine from first layout to final file.
Overdose Epidemic Report
Designed annually for five years, this data-rich publication tracks the nation's opioid crisis through charts, infographics and visualizations. I developed the visual system for the series and designed each edition in full.
The 2023 and 2024 editions shown here share a visual motif — an abstract fractured background that shifts in color between years. The shattered forms are a visual metaphor for the devastating impact of illicit drugs on individuals and families.
