Books & Breakfast is a nonprofit serving at-risk children in Evanston with before-school programming — providing a morning meal, homework support, and a community where kids feel valued. I served as their design partner from founding in 2013 through 2025, building the complete brand identity from scratch and applying it across annual reports, direct mail campaigns, event invitations, fundraising materials, and digital communications. The organization grew from five volunteers in one school to a multi-school, privately-funded operation serving thousands of students. Watching that organization find its identity and scale over twelve years was one of the most rewarding creative relationships of my career.
